Great location with a fantastic view. Staff was very friendly, we got upgraded to a 2-person room. Food in the evening (spaghetti and Kaiserschmarrn) was fine, simple breakfast in the morning. Basic but functional and clean, the cold shower was refreshing…. If you want to be pampered, book a 5-star hotel with a spa in the valley ;-)
Great experience, we slept there for one night, they have food and drinks if you don't have any. We were in a large room for 8 people, there are wardrobes for your clothes, warm shower is for 5 euros, cold (ice cold) is for free, water is drinkable so you can fill your bottles, which is not usual. Just be brave enough and get ready for a lady talking (almost) only in german language, but she is nice and helpful.😃
Nice hiking hut with amazing views , landlady is very friendly and took great care of our stay, we stayed in a 4 bed room, comfortable with great Mountain View. Paid showers normal for high altitude huts and worth it with good pressure after a long hike. Breakfast is basic but normal at huts. Lady helped us become members and makes our stay at hurts for 1 hear more affordable. Thank you!
Nice place for a drink and food. Many good trails to take from here.
Prices were very fair aswel
Terrible experience.
They arent welcoming, the coffee machine isnt Good, the food looks like a fast food restaurant not an Alpine menu as we expect in the mountains, people don't respect the 22hs silence as it should. There are many more Hütte around to go instead. I will not come back.
The worst hut I have ever encounter in mountains. From the beginning they treat us as second class citizen, I guess just because they hate foreigners. We did nothing wrong to them but it get worse when the found out we just want a room without dinner and breakfast. At 10 pm owner told us that we cannot be on terrace and we have to go sleep immediately so we have no time to finish ordered beers. In the morning at 7:00 we wanted to eat our breakfast and the lady from hut told us that we have to pay for our own food because we aren't their guests anymore...
The location with Dachstein massive in the background is just amazing. Although the staff seems to be quite busy, the landlady is friendly and ready to have a chat with you (the landlord not so much). Accommodation is comparable to other mountain huts in the area: small pillows and blankets provided, you need to bring your own sleeping bag liner. The restaurant is self-service. As for the dinner, we were lucky and were offed a special: mushroom sauce with dumplings. I hope they prepare specials more often, because this one was delicious. We were quite disappointed by the breakfast, though: Dark bread, butter, salami, cheese, jam, oats, yoghurt. No white bread or buns, no vegetables, no fruit, no pastries or cakes. Since the price is 10 EUR, we expected more.
Was a nice place, friendly people. Ok, it's basic, the food was OK, the views are amazing, you're alone at the top. The place in general but also room was clean. We where there in the beginning of june but due to the heavy winter of 2019 there was still a lot of snow, which made the last few hunderd meters quite hard, but it was worth it.
